Döehler adquire 50% da Mais Fruta

Buscando fortalecer sua presença na América do Sul, a Döehler adquiriu 50% da brasileira Mais Fruta Ltda., que é especializada no processamento de frutas e na produção de polpas naturais.

Dessa forma, a empresa alemã especializada em prover soluções integradas para as indústrias de alimentos e bebidas, além de ser reconhecida produtora de ingredientes, terá uma grande facilidade na aquisição de matérias primas de alta qualidade, e podendo assim expandir seu portfólio já que terá a disposição uma série de concentrados e polpas das mais diversas frutas tropicais.

A marca Mais Fruta ainda continuará no mercado, e a empresa brasileira continuará suas atividades normalmente.

 Döhler has acquired a 50% stake in the Brazil-based fruit specialist Mais Fruta Ltda. Headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, Döhler is a global producer, marketer and provider of technology-based natural ingredients, ingredient systems and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry. Since the 1990s Döhler has already been represented in Brazil and has a production site in Limeira. Mais Fruta Ltda. is a family-owned manufacturer and marketer of frozen fruits, fruit purees and juice concentrates for the food and beverage industry. The company is located in the city of Antonio Prado, in the heart of the grape growing areas in the South of Brazil. The products of the two partners excellently complement each other and will support to realize Döhler’s growth plans in South America. The investment secures Döhler’s access to high quality raw materials from a wide range of South American fruit varieties and opens up new potential for the development of innovative food and beverage applications.

 Since 1990, Mais Fruta has also been successful in manufacturing and distributing frozen fruits and fruit products for the food and beverage industry. Frozen purees in small packaging sizes and ingredient systems for the ice cream industry complete the portfolio today. Located in Jarinu, just 150 km away from the city of São Paulo, this second production site provides fast and direct access to the most important customers and new business opportunities. From here, frozen purees and fruit juice compounds, fruit preparations for the ice cream industry and ready-to-mix fruit juice blends for cocktails like Caipirinha are distributed to retail and food service customers throughout Brazil.

 The shareholding in the fruit juice and concentrate manufacturer Mais Fruta will strengthen Döhler’s position as a supplier of natural food and beverage ingredients in South America. For the time being, Mais Fruta will continue to operate its business activities as before.
